The centre core of the Expo Sphere features an enormous elevator shaft of 80 meters height, with two sets of four large elevators transporting visitors between the various floors of the building. VML-Technologies were asked to design an array of four arrays of each 14 linear diffused LED lighting blades of 80 meters height which trace the movement of the elevators as they traverse up and down. The elevator carriages themselves also feature LED lighting, all of which works together to create a subtle and dynamic lighting effect, enhancing the natural movement of the carriages.
