In order to create, evaluate and prove concepts and ideas, architects, lighting designers and end-users involve VML-Technologies for consultancy, designs and prototyping of specific solutions. Larger and custom LED Media Façade and Mediatecture projects especially require thorough evaluation and preparation including feasibility studies prior to final project execution. In order to really evaluate important issues such as inward and outward appearance, seemless integration of lighting or display elements with façade building elements, specific physical dimensions of products, visual system performance including brightness and viewing angles, it is essential at an early stage to build prototypes and mock-ups.

Based on a wealth of knowledge built up over many years working with LED's and on our proven Lattice technology platform, LED products can be specified and designed for specific brightness, viewing angles, LED type, pixel pitch, outward appearance and dimensional requirements. Based on the functional and technical design brief, mock-ups are normally created which are crucial for our clients to truly asess the visual performance and effect of their Media Façade concept and to evaluate and develop a practical and economic methodology for on-site installation. Mock-ups also allow the client to evaluate important issues such as cable routing, and power provisions to ensure a tidy installation with no visible cables and clutter. Other important considerations such as meeting budgets, manufacturability, serviceability and uniqueness of the design concept can all be easily evaluated at this stage.
